He crushed every Tifosi's dream being the head of Ferrari. Race after race of LeClerc and Sainz being oh so close to victory, a chance at a driver's championship, heck even a run at constructor's, and the team under his watch fell and stumbled to the finish line.

Yes he has a long history in F1, but his recent history is a huge blemish. Can he correct the issues at Kick Sauber before the four rings emblazon their car? Doubtful. But he may make a difference. Will we see the Netflix inspired bromance everyone is yearning for with him hiring Gunther Steiner as his Team Principal? Maybe. At least they can compare notes on the latest wines and grapes in the vinyard if they can't hit the ground running with Audi. It was a very telling sign in an interview recently with Carlos Sainz before the Williams announcement, He stated his 'delay' in signing with a team was because he wanted to see how all the teams were heading in direction... Did he know something about Binotto heading to Audi? Doubtful, but if he had had a good experience with him at Ferrari, wouldn't have that played an immediate role in his decision for a new team? Him not jumping at the chance to be with Audi, and more importantly with Binotto, speaks volumes to me of his distrust in that leadership. Good luck Audi, you're gonna need it.

I definitely will try to put up another post or two at the least before we get back to racing. There is a lot more to talk about, and even more exciting for me personally is the wife and I are heading to Monza for the Italian Grand Prix in a month's time. Temple of Speed here we come!
