Formula 1: After the summer break Red Bull [503 Points]

Let's face it, from here on out, and really since the beginning of the season, it's been all Red Bull, all the freaking time. They are just unstoppable this year. But why?

Most everyone immediately points the spotlight on Max. Yeah sure, he is a great driver, brash as can be, and knows how to get his elbows out from basically anywhere on the track. Enough said, and you'll learn rather quickly, I'm not a Verstappen fan, nor a fan of Red Bull in general.
Here's the jist of why they are so good. They built a better car. Plain and simple. The aero package, the engine tune, suspension, and for God's sake that damn DRS! It's like they go into warp speed as soon as that wing opens up. And yes that has everything to do with their aerodynamics top to bottom. It just absolutely slips through the air and makes everyone else look like they are spinning their tires on an oily track while Red Bull has loads of grip propelling them to ludicrous mode and beyond.
Ok, ok, I can hear you saying, 'yeah Jason, we all know that, so what's your point?'. My point is, take any of the top 5 drivers, hell, I'll go for top 10, and put them in the seat of that Red Bull car. Once any of them gets comfortable, and gets that car figured out, zoom its off to the podium.
Sure, sure, but how do you explain Sergio Perez? Why isn't he at least second every race? Let's see, he won in Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia. Had second places in Belgium, Miami, and Bahrain. Third places in Hungary, and Austria. That's 7 podium finishes out of 12 races thus far, and sits in second place in the Driver's standings at 189 points. 125 points behind Verstappen and 40 in front of Hamilton. I'd say that's a pretty damn successful year thus far, and the only reason he missed podiums in the other 5 races were either due to mechanical failure, or mental failure. Mental failure being almost more of the main factor.
Here's a good comparison and my final word on Red Bull, Verstappen, and Perez:
Hamilton and Bottas during the long run of constructors championships at Mercedes. Mercedes absolutely had the dominant car during those years, and everyone else was playing catch up, and Red Bull finally did. Bottas was Perez, always a bridesmaid, and very seldom a bride. Lot's of podium finishes for Bottas over those years, lots of them! And where is Bottas now? Sitting in the cockpit of a 9th place constructors car that is obviously inferior to Red Bull's, and well he has a whole host of other issues at Alfa Romeo that I'll get to...eventually. But put Bottas in the Red Bull? Pretty much assured to be back on the podium, often.
